Hello, my name is Erin Zavarello and I am a personal chef. I live in Oaklyn, NJ with my husband Mike and my two kitties. I have been in the food industry business for nearly 10 years. My interest in food started when I was just 3 years old, baking with my mom in the kitchen. Since then, I have not been able to keep the constant thought of preparing and eating food off of my mind. As a young child, I used to pretend with my sister that I had my own cooking show. I really do believe I was born with the fascination of cooking! In 2004, I graduated from The Restaurant School in Philadelphia (now referred to as The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College). I have worked in restaurants such as Avenue B in Philadelphia and Fire in Cherry Hill, NJ. Even though I learned many things in each place I have worked, I believe my true experience came from working for 3 years at Jeffrey Miller Catering in Philadelphia. It was there that I discovered organization, timing skills, proper cooking and seasoning skills, and confidence. In 2006 I became a member of the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA). While attending cooking school, I always knew that I wanted to be a personal chef. Each job experience that I have been through has educated me in different areas so that I was able to finally reach my goal. I am so grateful to have made it to this point. |
